VinTin™ Welding and Fabricating, LLC is an architectural metal fabrication studio based out of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and positioned alongside the wild and wonderful Potomac River, Danny Trenary, owner and operator, is inspired to create heirloom quality ironwork using both modern and traditional methods. In 2007, Danny and Katie (a

soldier with US Army National Guard) got married. In the first year of marriage, Katie received an honorable discharge from the military, and they started their family. In 2008 specifically, two important things were born: their first child and their company, VinTin. In 2009, Danny lit his first forge and took on the title of Blacksmith. He left industrial welding behind and embarked on his new adventure. While Danny is staying hot, dirty, and creative in the shop, Katie is busy handling the office-side of the business from billing to social media while keeping their seven children alive and educated. Lower temps are coming, which means fireplace season is upon us. Do you use your fireplace? Growing up, we had 2 fireplaces and only used them a handful of times. Now we have a woodstove and use it all fall/winter! If we had a fireplace, you'd better believe we would use it. 💯

It's been a minute, and we KNEW this would be a project that we would miss. I wonder if the clients miss us? 🤣

Yes, we did cut the glass ourselves. Yes, we did fabricate all the metalwork. Yes, we did build the wooden caprail to match. And the most common question we get is if the glass is secured? Yes, it is. We don't share every detail usually, but all the videos of the process are on our page - you're free to peruse!
