Petry Engineering was an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team including MHS Architects, Gaccione Pomaco, PC, and Burgis Associates, Inc., which secured preliminary and final site plan approval for a 36-unit mixed use building located at 55 Lawrence Street in Bloomfield. Petry Engineering prepared the Civil Engineering plans along with a Traffic Impact and Parking Study. Both Alexandra Handel, PE, PP and J. Michael Petry, PE, PP testified at the hearings. One step closer to completion! J. Michael Petry, Bleeker Architectural Group, Dynamic Traffic, Tom Banker, and Paul Jemas, Esq. gained Hudson County Planning Board approval for our mutual client, Alma Realty and their East Newark Town Centre project. This signifies a positive change coming to East Newark, with the the renovation of 12 buildings creating a dynamic mixed-use development.

Construction has commenced at the Brookdale ShopRite in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The work includes a 12,500 SF addition, as well as an improved site layout and 58 additional parking spaces. Completion is planned for spring 2021.

Mike Petry scored a nice victory in Montclair with a controversial project. The owners wanted to build a poolhouse on their property, but the zoning officer deemed it too close to the house based upon an "unwritten rule." The Board of Adjustment reversed their employee's decision and sided with the client. Here is the news article:

The zoning board will re-hear an application for a pool house on Afterglow Way after rejecting it last year.
