The warehouse teams who make sure the right material is where it needs to be; the drivers, processors, sales teams and countless others who keep the supply chain moving.

This Labor Day, we are recognizing the people behind the products, projects, and industries that keep the world moving. Our offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th, in observance of the holiday.

This week, TW Wichita employees volunteered at their neighbor organization Simply Hygiene, sorting and packaging personal hygiene products, as well as loading vehicles of local charity groups. Wichita typically sends volunteers down the road to S.H. several times per year to support this important work for our community. “Simply Hygiene’s mission is to empower people with essential hygiene products that promote health and hope. They currently distribute to over 250 schools and over 115 nonprofit organizations in South Central Kansas, giving access to hygiene items to over 103,000 people each month.”

Nothing beats a little time together outside the office! Today our corporate team held their annual company picnic, enjoying great food, plenty of laughs, and some friendly competition on the co****le boards. It was a great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, connect with colleagues and celebrate the people who make TW Metals what it is.

TW Orlando continued its annual tradition of giving back by donating back-to-school supplies to the Orlando Day Nursery. Our Chicago facility recently welcomed some very special visitors from Border Tails Rescue, and they brought plenty of puppy love along with them! Thanks to the generosity of the TW Chicago employees, they raised an incredible $2,463 through a July 50/50 raffle and August donations, including cash and supplies such as dog beds for the organization.

Employees had the chance to meet a few adorable dogs looking for their forever homes:

Sandy: 6-month-old Pitty
Daisy: 9-month-old Korean Jindo/Mastiff mix
Bagel: 7-year-old Beagle
NaNa: 2-year-old Pitty mix

1,000+ Days. One Team. Zero Recordable Incidents. 👏 Last week, our Western Region RGM recently presented jackets to our Los Angeles Operations team in recognition of more than 1,000 days without a recordable incident. This achievement reflects the team’s daily commitment to looking out for one another, working safely, and making safety a priority in everything they do.
