🎄 CSE FIRST ANNUAL UGLY SWEATER CONTEST 🎄

Yesterday, the CSE team came together to celebrate the holiday season with our First Annual Ugly Sweater Contest, bringing creativity, laughter, and holiday cheer across the organization.

Employees participated both in person and remotely, showing off their Christmas spirit and making the day a success. A sincere thank you to everyone who participated:

❄️⛄ CSE Snowman Showdown – Winter’s First Snow Fun! ⛄❄️
CSE took full advantage of the first snow of the season by hosting a company-wide Snowman Contest at our Export production facility! It was an awesome way to see our CSE family get creative, work together, and enjoy a little winter fun during the workday.

After a lot of laughs, teamwork, and some seriously impressive snow-building skills, here are your winners:

We’re proud to be part of the future of mining and mine rescue!

Last week, CSE had the opportunity to participate in the University of Arizona School of Mining & Mineral Resources’ annual Mine Emergency Rescue Drill (M**D).

This full-scale exercise simulated a real underground emergency — involving Incident Command, EMS coordination, mine engineering, surveying, and, of course, mine rescue.

We provided six BioPak 240Rs so the student mine rescue team could operate under supplied air. The students did an incredible job managing the incident and rescuing six simulated miners, including two located in the deepest section of the mine, fully occluded by simulated smoke.

We’re grateful to the University of Utah for allowing the use of their BioPaks for this event and to the University of Arizona team for their dedication to realistic, hands-on learning. Events like this highlight the innovation, teamwork, and safety culture driving the next generation of mine rescue professionals.

The 2025 Missouri Regional Mine Rescue Contest at Missouri S&T’s Experimental Mine brought together 13 elite mine rescue teams from across the U.S. — each testing skill, teamwork, and endurance in realistic underground conditions.

Teams faced:

Two live mine rescue problems

BioPak bench challenges

Technician and trainer events

First aid simulations

The Iron Man endurance competition

Highlights:
