Today is Norm's 60th Birthday. Almost half of it spent at PLC-Multipoint. We have a tradition that on people's birthdays they can choose a dessert. This year, instead of the stalwart Rhubarb pie he has had for 27 years (and all employees have shared in), we ordered a fruit tart from our local French Bakery. It was wonderful.

December has been a busy month for PLC-Multipoint events. We had our CPR training (breaths are back) and fire extinguisher training -No live fire this time, but we did get to see the aviation foam truck. We had a wonderful lunch at a seafood restaurant on the nearby waterfront and everyone got a new elf hat for the year. We're looking forward to a busy and prosperous new year.

Mary Beth Schoeler, PLC-Multipoint's first employee, retired recently after 26 years with the company. We all had a splendid time recognizing her many accomplishments. Mary Beth's was general manager of PLC and had responsibilities for production, accounting and human resources. Mary Beth also guided us through Y2K and our ISO-9001 audits and certifications. As a company leader she was always regarded as treating customers and employees with fairness and respect. We are grateful for all that Mary Beth has done over this past quarter century, and wish Mary Beth and her husband Duffy the best in their retirement.
