The Wood Bank runs on volunteers and donations (and grants). We have no grants this year, so to raise some needed funds we're going to raffle off a pickup load of firewood at the end of each month all season. Tickets are $5.00 each and will be available at the Wood Bank every Saturday 9-12.
If you don't need firewood but win a load, you could give it to someone who does...:))))

Reminder, our homecoming parade is this Thursday, September 24 at 1:00pm. There is no school on Friday, so we want to make sure all K-12 students get to show their support for homecoming week! LET'S GO!

Reminder, open, residential burning season is currently closed through September 30 due to Montana's wildfire season. Even with the cooler temps, dry conditions can still exist, creating the potential for escaped burns to create wildfires.

📅Open burning on the Kootenai National Forest, if located outside of the Libby Outdoor Burning Control Area (LOBCA), opens on October 1, 2026 and closes on November 30, 2026, with no permit needed.

📅If located within the LOBCA, open burning, with a permit only, opens on April 1, 2027.

As you get ready for The Bull Thing, please take a minute to review our event reminders.

• No coolers
• No outside food or drinks
• No professional camera equipment, including cameras with detachable lenses or drones
• No pets (certified service animals welcome)
• No glass containers
• No weapons
• No smoking in the stands
• Everyone must have a valid ticket to enter

🍔We’ll have lots of food and drink vendors on site with plenty of options for everyone to enjoy.

Wildfire Mitigation Grant

We have grant funding available to help with wildfire mitigation on up to 5 acres of private land!

If you’ve been thinking about creating defensible space, reducing fuels, or taking other steps to make your property more wildfire resilient, this may be a great opportunity to get some assistance.
