I'm so late to post but CONSTRUCTION HAS BEGUN!!!

Thanks to our success in achieving a CDBG Grant, we've now broken ground! Our restroom building interior has been demo'd to make way for all new ADA accessible restrooms. Next, rubber mulch for the playground and a tennis court overhaul to provide a multipurpose court that includes, tennis, pickleball, and a half-court basketball!

We are so pleased to announce that we will once again be beneficiaries of the Kansas Rural Communities Foundation and Patterson Family Foundation Match Event from November 1st to November 15th this year!!

For every dollar we receive, we will receive 50 cents from this Match Event!!

This coming Sunday, a group of around 30 of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity students will be making a trek through our very own Eskridge, as a part of the Journey of Hope; An ability Experience. This extensive cross-country bike journey is to raise disability awareness and bring joy to friends in the disability community.

Each year, approximately 50 men embark on a cross-country trip to test their limits, spread awareness, and celebrate the abilities of all people. With two routes kicking off on the West Coast, teams spend the summer crossing the country over a combined 8,000 miles with an arrival at the Capitol Lawn...

Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th!

If you came to the Turtle Race yesterday and grabbed a donut from the Maisie DeVore Community Pool, or raced a speedy (or not so speedy) turtle with us, please share your photos below!

We want to extend a big THANK YOU to all who helped out on this timeless and fun event! From Bisnett, our fearless and hilarious emcee and 3-Ring-Turtle-Circus leader, his wife, Kori Schlesener Bisnett, who ensured he showed up, to Darrell Rush who ensured our turtle ring was sparkling clean for the big day (someone who frequently helps out in the background and rarely accepts recognition for it!). Dayton Allen, Tanner Allen, Justin Rush, who also risked their lives (or maybe just toes) to line judge.

This was our first personal year that we dealt with a snapping turtle--we decided he's not much of a racer, but a great motivator for his fellow racers! And Matt's only missing a few fingers now, so all is well! (J/k)

Also, to Amy D Williams who helped me run the sidelines, to Jamie Driggs and Co* (please tag your helpers as I will mess them up) and Driggs for helping me set up (and making fun of my circle).

And to YOU, all who came on a day they probably wanted to sleep in to enjoy our Community and all that it has to offer. Please share and share photos!!!
