ROTO-DISC II SPHERICAL VALVE WITH OUTLET FL**GE COMMON TO THE VALVE SIZE

Roto-Disc, Inc., manufacturer of Heavy-duty Spherical Valves for difficult dry & slurry material handling applications, now offers the Roto-Disc II valve with outlet fl**ge that is common to the valve size.
This spherical valve is ideal for applications where the valve outlet has to mate to a downstream fl**ge that matches the valve’s inlet or***ce. When provided with an optional Inlet Fl**ge Adaptor, the Roto-Disc II can mate to common ANSI 150 # Fl**ges on both the inlet and discharge side, eliminating the need for fl**ge and piping transitions while maintaining a full-or***ce valve solution.
The valve maintains all other essential features of the original Roto-Disc spherical valve and all spare parts are interchangeable with equivalent sized Roto-Disc valves. Like the Roto-Disc, the Roto-Disc II slices through material build-up and wipes itself clean with each cycle. The sealing surfaces are not exposed to the flow of material and there are no hidden places inside for material to build-up. Typical applications include hopper fill & discharge, blender discharge, loss-in-weight feeder re-fill, bulk-bag unloading and other gravity or low-pressure applications.
The Roto-Disc II can be supplied in Airlock/Double-Dump assemblies for processing material into and out of differential pressure environments. Roto-Disc also offers a full line of splitter/convergers and piping and fl**ge process transitions. Learn more.

Roto-Disc, Inc., the leader in valves, diverters and airlocks for difficult bulk material handling applications now offers a full-range of process transitions that make the task of mating equipment and piping with non-matching dimensions easier and quicker. Now the dry process industry has a selection of piping, fl**ge and duct transitions available from stock, eliminating the time, expense and hassle of specifying, designing and fabricating transitions from scratch. Process Transitions by Roto-Disc. install just as expected, right out of the box!

Among the many options available are round-to-square pipe transitions, square and conical reducers, flexible stub adaptors and sanitary pipe/tube extenders with clamp ferrules. Transitions are available with fl**ges on one or both ends as are fl**geless/weld stub transitions. The entire line can easily be adapted to meet custom take-out space requirements and fl**ges can be drilled to suit. Custom shapes such as offset/oblique, rectangular and double-cone types can also be provided upon request.

Erlanger, KY, For Immediate Release – The Roto-Disc®, Inc. announces that its patented Roto-Clean® Sanitary, Spherical Valve is now available in 2”, 2.5” & 12” port sizes. Just like the existing Roto-Clean valves, these new sizes can be quickly disassembled & reassembled, by hand, for cleaning and sanitization. When fully disassembled, no two parts are still connected or touching. Clearances are undisturbed during disassembly and need not be adjusted upon reassembly. The Roto-Clean is made from FDA compliant materials and virtually eliminates product hang-up points inside the valve.

The Roto-Clean is especially popular with the food & pharmaceutical industries. Available in sizes 2-12” inlet ports, it is well suited for vacuum and pressure applications and for temperatures up to 425°F. DRY MATERIAL MIXERS & BLENDERS NEED DRY MATERIAL VALVES


Roto-Disc®, Inc. shut-off valves are ideal for the inlets and discharges of atmospheric and vacuum mixers & dryers. The valves slice through material build-up and wipe themselves clean with each cycle. The sealing surfaces are not exposed to the flow of material and there are no hidden places inside for material to build-up. Unlike butterfly valves, there’s no vane in the middle of the flow-stream to restrict the flow, meaning smaller valves can be used without concern for bridging. Unlike slide-gate & knife-gate valves, the rotation of the dome pushes material above or below the seal rather than dragging across and wedging it into a recessed pocket which causes leakage and wear. And unlike ball valves, there is no un-sanitary dead-space for material to accumulate and jam the valve or cause wear as the ball rotates. These valves simply can’t handle the unique demands of solids handling applications!

ROTO-DISC®, Inc.’s DIRECT-DRIVE SYSTEM & HIGH-STRENGTH SHAFTS ELIMINATE TAPER PIN SHEARING
Erlanger, KY - For Immediate Release: All Roto-Disc®, Inc. shut-off valves are now standard with its exclusive direct-drive system. This break-through design eliminates taper/shear pins both inside and outside the valve and connects the dome to the actuator through square holes in the dome and square ends on the mating shafts. New high-yield stainless & carbon steels are also available and removal and re-insertion of the shafts is greatly simplified. This new, robust design allows additional torque to be applied to power the valve through hard or sticky material without concern for taper pin shearing.

The direct-drive feature, offered on the company’s Roto-Clean® sanitary valve since 2005, is now available on the Roto-Disc®, Roto-Disc II, Roto-Flate® and Roto-Vert® valves as well. This means all valves share the quick shaft removal & reinsertion feature of the Roto-Clean. The design works well with most actuator types because most actuators have female drive shafts.
