🎉 Happy 15th Work Anniversary, Kevin Rottinghaus! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a major milestone for Kevin as he marks his 15th year with Beaumont Technologies Inc. To honor the occasion, we sat down with him for a Q&A to reflect on his journey.

What is your favorite memory from your time here?

"My favorite memory would probably be my first NPE back in 2012. We were such a small company that pretty much all of us who were working for Beaumont back then were there—even Betty Beaumont! (You can spot her in one of the pictures below 📸).

We all definitely had a lot more hair in those pictures! I remember one night, after entertaining customers, we all piled into a tiny cab to get back to where we were staying (before Uber was really a thing). We were just smashed in there like sardines in a can. It was so much fun, and those are memories and stories that I will never forget."

What is the biggest change you’ve seen since your first day?

"When I first started, we pretty much just sold MeltFlipper and had a couple of guys running Moldflow. We now have so many employees, I don't even know them all! I never thought that would happen. We are the largest Moldflow team in North America now, started AIM back in 2015, and have a molding and mold-making division. It's really cool to see."

What is one piece of advice you’d give to a new hire?

"Network, network, network. This industry is full of amazing people. Whether they are your co-workers, colleagues, customers, or suppliers, you can build some amazing friendships that last a lifetime."

Kevin, thank you for 15 years of hard work, expertise, and dedication to the team. We wouldn't be where we are without you. Here's to many more! 🥂

Help us celebrate by leaving a congratulations for Kevin in the comments, and be sure to check out the throwback photos below!

🏆 CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE: Eric Madler Joins the Elite GM Approved Moldflow Analyst List!

We are incredibly thrilled to announce a major milestone for our very own Eric Madler, Software and Automotive Simulation Manager at Beaumont Technologies Inc! This week, Eric was officially named to General Motors’ prestigious GM Approved Moldflow Analyst list.

This highly selective validation is awarded only to simulation professionals who demonstrate world-class technical capability, reliability, and mastery of rigorous automotive engineering standards. Eric’s relentless dedication to perfecting Moldflow simulation and supporting complex automotive applications has earned him this well-deserved recognition.

🌟 A Powerhouse of Expertise at Beaumont

Eric’s accomplishment marks another huge win for our team. He joins four of his talented colleagues, bringing Beaumont Technologies to a grand total of 5 GM Approved Moldflow Analysts on staff!

What does this mean for the industry? The global registry of GM-approved analysts is remarkably exclusive due to the intense technical scrutiny and Autodesk Expert Certification requirements involved. For a single organization to house five of these elite specialists is a testament to the unparalleled depth of simulation expertise we maintain here at Beaumont.

"Eric’s hard work, deep expertise, and passion for solving complex injection molding challenges embody everything Beaumont stands for. We are incredibly proud of his accomplishment and look forward to continuing to drive success for GM programs and the broader automotive industry."

Please join us in the comments below congratulating Eric on this incredible milestone! 🎉

At Beaumont Advanced Processing, our solution is to provide "gold-level" material characterization by generating the CRIMS/STAMP models for use within Autodesk Moldflow Simulation Software. This goes beyond standard testing by capturing a material's complex shrinkage behavior across a wide range of processing variables.

To support this data generation, we utilize an Optical Measurement System, which measures true shrinkage on plastic parts.

What the system does: The optical system will measure a grid pattern molded on the parts. By measuring all of the tags from the shrinkage molding DOE, true anisotropic shrinkage can now be determined in order to generate a CRIMS model of coefficients.

This will also feed the STAMP 3D shrinkage model.

“ [AIM’s Injection Molding] training strengthened my technical criteria for process analysis and optimization. Thanks to Niagara for supporting continuous technical growth.” — Daniel Grajeda, Niagara Bottling

Daniel’s experience mirrors that of his colleague, Aldo Arana, who noted that, “The input from the instructors undoubtedly strengthened my technical capabilities and supported the continued development… of my skills in injection molding.”

For over a decade, the AIM Institute's vast curriculum has helped professionals and businesses in the US reduce costs and save production time. We are proud to now bring our courses to Costa Rica so that molders and OEM's alike in that region of the world can also further reduce costs and improve part quality.

🎉 New Machinery: The Makino EDGE3i Sinker EDM

Sinker EDM is central to the injection mold building process. By integrating current technology, we ensure your projects are built with accuracy and efficiency.

The Hyper i controller features a high-definition touch screen, an intuitive interface, and an embedded tutorial library that allows for expedited training and operation by our staff.

The strategic advantage of this machine is that it allows us to standardize the controller systems in our EDM Department. The EDGE3i utilizes the identical Hyper i controller interface used on our Makino U3 Wire EDM.

This standardization provides direct operational benefits:

âś… Seamless Cross-Training: Because the interface is identical across our Wire and Sinker operations, our technicians can transition between machines with minimal learning curve.

✅ Redundancy & Reliability: A standardized shop floor means fewer bottlenecks. If a rush job comes in, our team is already fluent in the machine’s language, ensuring production never skips a beat.

By investing in this EDM technology, we are not just buying a machine; we are optimizing our entire workflow to deliver better molds in less time.

Join us in congratulating Scott Reynolds, Toolmaker in our Beaumont Advanced Processing (BAP) tooling division, on his retirement! 🎉

Scott started his career in 1981, machining molds by hand before the era of CNCs. Over the decades, he has provided endless support to our team.

When asked what advice he has for new toolmakers, Scott shared:

"Do your best to figure things out on your own, but never be afraid to ask for help... Never say you can’t do something without trying it first."

While he will miss the problem-solving aspect of his work, Scott is looking forward to spending his retirement golfing, fishing, mountain biking, and planning a trip to Yellowstone with his wife.

All your hard work is valued and appreciated. Thank you for your commitment and the experience you brought to help us grow. We wish the best for Scott in his retirement! We hope you and your family have many great adventures and enjoy visiting so many beautiful places.
