CHCC Construction Tech Two year course designed to introduce and teach students the skills needed to enter the construction field of their choice.

This two year course is designed to introduce and teach students the skills needed to enter the construction field of their choice. Using a combination of classroom, lab units and on site construction methods, students will learn the process of general construction. Students completing this course will demonstrate: Students will learn how to properly and safely use hand tools and power tools, the

foundation process, framing, drywall, siding, roofing, trim and finish work and much more. This course is designed to give students a solid base and understanding of carpentry and general all around knowledge of the Construction fields.

Two of our senior students spent the week working hard and competing in SkillsUSA Vermont's carpentry competition. These two individuals worked tirelessly and represented Cold Hollow with pride! I want to take a moment to spotlight Peter Haddick, who will be attending the University of Maine to study Construction Engineering Technology. I'd also like to spotlight Kolby Irish, who will be attending Southeast Lineman Training this fall to pursue his dream of becoming a traveling lineman. It has truly been a privilege and an honor to be part of their lives.
