Stout Iron Works The shop for Stout Iron Works is located in southern Ohio. The goal of this shop is to create unique, useful and one of a kind hand forged products.

We do not have a set product line or catalog; instead we make custom hardware, traditional homestead tools and decorative pieces to fit the customer’s needs and desires. The blacksmith in this shop uses a coal forge similar to ones used in days of old. The physical work reminds him of the simpler life of a blacksmith from past generations. Using the same techniques from long ago, he fires the forg

e to get the metal at a red hot heat and then hammers it into shape on an anvil. Rusty, old metal is recycled into ornate, usable items for the home and fire side.
