Its Official!!!!! Doors Open at our New Facility on January 26th, 2026. New Fabrication and Welding Shop Coming to Gaston NC.

Take a look at some of the pictures from our new facility being built over the last year. The shop is 60'-0 x 200'-0 x 26ft tall.

Michael Wells and his wife Pamela Wells started Wells Mechanical Services LLC in July 2012 with the plans for the future to one day be able to build their own dream shop and now that has come true.

What all started with 9 acres of land in Gaston NC, in January 2025, turned into this new facility. We have over 20 employees full time, work includes water tower maintenance, plant maintenance, Fabrication, Welding, Sandblasting, Painting, Specializing in Carbon, Stainless, Aluminum, Portable Welding Services and much more. We have the equipment to cut on the CNC plasma table with capabilities of cutting up to 2” carbon, 1” aluminum, and 1” stainless. Equipment for rolling metal into various shapes, and for making rolled handrails. We are also portable welding with multiple trucks. We look forward to moving to Northampton County to start another chapter in Wells Mechanicals journey.

ISO: CWI Welding Inspector
We are seeking a full time employee that is a CWI welding inspector.
Job:
-Eligible to give welding test, Structural, Pipe, R Stamp Test.
- Inspect welds performed by employees on all amtetial thay are fabricated.
- Manage all paperwork such as heat numbes,, certificates, etc.
- 40 to 50 hours a week Monday-Friday

After 90 Days:
-Health insurance company pays half on employee insurance
-Paid holidays

After one year of employment:
40 hours paid vacation
Salary: $75000-$85000 yearly
