Location: Emmett, Idaho

Job Type: Full-Time (with overtime when needed)
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year doe
Job Overview
Fords Fabrication is seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to lead our welding and fabrication team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and keeping projects on schedule.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong welding/fabrication skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily shop activities and workflow
Lead, train, and mentor welders and fabricators
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
Ensure all work meets quality standards and project requirements
Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Inspect completed work and troubleshoot issues as needed
Manage materials, equipment, and shop inventory
Communicate with management regarding project progress and needs
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Experience with shop tools, machinery, and equipment
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environment
Valid driver’s license
