Fire up the smoker we have a hot new recipe for you to try out. These Honey Ginger Glazed Chicken Lollipops are a new favorite here at Charcoal Companion. We trimmed some skin off these drumsticks and got to business with this wild twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients

8 chicken drum sticks
1 inch ginger chopped
4 scallions sliced with white and green parts seperated
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup rice wine vinegar
¼ cup honey

HASSELBACK SQUASH
Ingredients

1 butternut squash peeled, halved and seeds removed

¼ cup agave syrup

¼ cup red wine vinegar

½ teaspoon chili flakes

1 teaspoon kosher salt

We made some smoked cabbage with pistachios! A great way to change up your Thanksgiving sides! Check out the recipe below!

Ingredients-

1 head cabbage
½ cup room temperature butter
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/4 cup chopped pistachios

Instructions-

Remove the core of the cabbage by inserting a knife at an angle moving around the core. You should be left with an intact cabbage but with a hole where the core used to be. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl. Put as much of the butter mixture as you can in the cavity of the cabbage. Take a large piece of aluminum foil and roll it up the long way and then loop it around so that it turns into a circle. Place the aluminum foil on a grill or smoker preheated to 375F. Place the cabbage core side up onto the aluminum foil and smoke for 90 minutes or until the cabbage is soft all the way through. Cut cabbage into quarters and top with chopped pistachios.
