Earlier this year, as part of our 50th anniversary, we made a commitment to give back to 50 families in the communities we call home.

This community is the reason we are still here after 50 years. It means everything to show up for it.

For our 50th year + our 10th year as an ESOP, we gave our location leaders one challenge:

Find one thing that could transform your breakroom into an Owners Lounge. No playbook. No script. Just -- what does your crew actually deserve?

What came back was better than we expected.

Some locations tackled the furniture -- real sectionals, tables that actually fit the whole crew, seating that respects the fact that these people have been on their feet all day. Some went for fresh paint, game rooms, and entertainment setups. Some built out locker areas that finally work. Some went all out -- full gyms. Squat racks, free weights, cardio equipment, the whole thing. At least two locations built gyms from the ground up.

Every single location did something. Not because they had to. Because we want spaces our employee owners are proud of. Swipe to see a few of our favorites.

Our team is always leveling up!

Weyerhaeuser recently came in to train our team on Azek. When our people know the products inside and out, our customers get better answers, better recommendations, and better results on their projects.

That’s the FBS difference — people who know their stuff.

Hot days, long hours, busy job sites — summer is when safety needs the most attention.

A few things worth revisiting with your team this time of year:
— Ladder safety: more summer projects means more time on ladders. Inspect before every use.
— UV exposure: outdoor workers face real long-term risk. Sunscreen and coverage matters.
— Footwear: hot pavement and dry terrain change the hazard landscape.
— Hydration: especially critical when temperatures stay high late into the day.

At FBS, safety is built into how we operate and how we show up for the contractors who count on us.

Stay safe out there.
