Thank you to Heather from CAER Food Shelf for taking the time to sit down with us and share what Give to the Max Day means to CAER, the families they serve, and our community.
The need in our community continues to grow, and thanks to the generosity of CAER's supporters, they are there to help.
In 2025, CAER served 2,235 families, distributed more than 1.2 million pounds of food, provided 858 senior deliveries, and supported 9,822 food shelf visits. Together, CAER is helping local families, seniors, and neighbors facing the challenges of rising costs and everyday expenses. We're grateful for the important work they do every day and look forward to supporting their mission.

Don't let winter catch you off guard! With snowy roads and freezing temperatures just around the corner, now is the time to build your winter emergency kit. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration suggests having these key items on hand before winter weather arrives. ⛄

- A snow shovel, broom, and ice scraper
- Abrasive material (sand or kitty litter), in case your vehicle gets stuck in the snow
- Jumper cables, flashlight, and warning devices (flares and emergency markers)
- A first aid kit, including tourniquet
- Blankets for protection from the cold
- A cell phone and charger, water, food, and any necessary medicine.

Make sure you're ready for the cold before it comes!
