This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives defending our nation — especially the United States submarine crews who made the ultimate sacrifice beneath the waves.

To all the submariners and submarines we have lost:
Your courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

They served in silence.
They defended in darkness.
They stood the watch for all of us.

Today we remember the fallen heroes of the United States Submarine Force and the families who carry their legacy forward.
