🏁 1978 Corvette Pace Car — The original black and silver combination that started it all.

🏁 2008 Corvette Pace Car — A modern take on the classic look, complete with checkered graphics and green accents.

Both made a statement at Indianapolis, but which generation wore the black and silver better?

Before the Grand Sport, before the Z06, and long before the ZR1… there was the Corvette SR-2. 🏁

Built in 1956, the SR-2 (Sebring Racer 2) was one of Chevrolet's earliest efforts to turn the Corvette into a serious racing machine.

With its distinctive aerodynamic headrest fin, custom bodywork, and racing-inspired modifications, the SR-2 was anything but an ordinary C1 Corvette.

You’ll take the same exit you’ve always taken to visit Mid America Motorworks, then take a right! While our permanent sign isn’t up just yet, keep an eye out for our smaller sign marking the entrance.
