I had a project to photograph the Edina commercial district around Galleria for the upcoming Bower apartment. Part of the project was doing drone views from above the apartment that is under construction.

While I was there.. I did 360 views of the area - I never get sick of looking at these!

It's hard to believe I got such a beautiful day in November.

What a gorgeous night for a dusk flight over Lake Shagawa in Ely! After being grounded most of the weekend due to high winds I was able to more than make up for it today.

The Road to Eternity - my awesome client Bituminous Roadways does some crazy projects.. including this one at Calvary Cemetery in St. Paul. This is easily one of the coolest aerial projects I’ve done in such a peaceful place. The residents were quite accommodating!

After three years, I can finally show off this film!

Some things - like the revitalization of an entire city - take time. Three years ago I started working with Hoisington Koegler Group (HKGi) to document their re-imagining of downtown Chaska. They brought back historical elements from the brickmaking past as well as add 21st century amenities.

It was a multi-year, multi-phase project - and I was there right from the start to capture everything from bricklaying to final impressions. I was able to interview the City Manager, local business owners, and engineers from HKGi to hear about the project.

Overhead details!

So many aerial photos are the same 30 degree down angle at a subject. We love that angle - but it's not always the most interesting. Sometimes it takes getting right over the top and shooting straight down to really see the patterns.

These are the mammoth ore docks at Taconite Harbor from way overhead. The snow gives a really neat contrast between the blue waters and the brown scrub.

Winter is a great time to fly.. and it's a significant part of our year.

Lots of points of interest in one photo here... my client Ellipse in the foreground showing off how close they are to Minikahda Country Club, the lakes, and downtown Minneapolis. Such a beautiful fall day - but these leaves are now long gone.

Oh Minnesota! What a gorgeous morning to fly. I did some stock shots this AM in the Chevalle neighborhood of Chaska for a great client of mine.

I’m not sure I’m ready to fly in mittens yet this year but here we are!
