We’re proud to share that The Collins Companies has officially earned WBENC Certification, the gold standard for women-owned business certification in the United States.

This achievement reflects years of hard work, growth, and success that have built a strong foundation for the next generation of leadership at The Collins Companies. It also represents the completion of WBENC’s rigorous certification process, making this milestone especially meaningful to our team.

We’re grateful to the employees, customers, vendors, and partners who have been part of our journey. As a woman-led, family-owned industrial distributor and solutions provider, we’re excited to build on our legacy, expand opportunities through supplier diversity, and continue growing alongside the customers we serve.

Proud to have Sean Tuohey, Paul Andruszkiewicz, Sean Tuohey, Micaela McDonald and the one and only Mark Duca representing The Collins Companies at the 2026 AD PHCP North American Meeting in Chula Vista!

Great to spend time with our AD peers and manufacturing partners, comparing notes on what’s ahead for PVF: supply chain, product availability, and how we keep making it easier for customers to do business with us.

As AD marks 45 years of supporting independent distributors, we’re reminded why independence matters: local decisions, personal service, and the backing of a strong network.
Same mission we bring to every customer: Built to Serve.

Tom Lederer (Technical Inside Sales Rep & Territory Sales Manager for The Collins Companies) along with Notch Mechanical’s Chris Harris, Mike Forest, and Dave Squires participated in the 22nd Annual CHD Cancer House of Hope Golf Tournament on Monday Sep 14th.

The event serves as the largest fundraising effort of the year for the Cancer House of Hope, a program operated under the Center for Human Development. It was a beautiful weather day and fun break in the action from the PVF world.

A year ago, our lives changed forever when we lost one of our best friends Jamie Nickerson in a tragic accident.

Since then, Amy Nickerson has honored Jamie's memory in the most inspiring way possible by creating a foundation dedicated to combating distracted driving and saving lives.

This past weekend, The Collins Companies was privileged to sponsor lunch at the inaugural JLN Eyes Forward Foundation Golf Tournament. The event brought together family, friends, and supporters to celebrate Jamie's life and the incredible impact he had on so many people.

There were plenty of smiles, stories, laughter, and yes, some tears. Most importantly, there was a shared commitment to ensuring Jamie's legacy continues to make a difference.

We will never forget the amazing husband, father, friend, and person that Jamie was!

"Niagara Controls 'HOOKING UP' with SAMCO Technologies Inc.!
https://zurl.co/9rIdc

Thank you SAMCO's Project Team Leaders!

Kevin Lo, David Thomann and Patrick Fallon.

Your Project Team work from design, manufacturing, installation, after sale support and now fishing for King Salmon is second to none.

With world class King Salmon fishing just north of Buffalo in Wilson, NY. on Lake Ontario, I wanted to create a world class experience for our world class partner, SAMCO Technologies.

Great weather, a beautiful sunrise, calm waters and exciting fishing with this SAMCO Project Team will always be a highlight for me.

A special thanks, to Captain Alan and his first mate, Jason, from Instigator Fishing Charters.

Our Niagara Controls Territory Sales Manager, Melinda Livingston, attended the Chips and Bricks meeting this past week, bringing together many of the key players involved in the massive Micron project in Central New York.

It was a great opportunity to learn more about the project, make connections, and hear how local businesses can help support not only Micron’s growth, but the surrounding community and infrastructure that will grow along with it.

Exciting things are happening in Central New York — and we’re looking forward to being part of it!

Celebrating Over 30 Years with Collins — Happy Retirement, Tom!

Today, we’re celebrating a truly special milestone at The Collins Companies as Tom begins his well-earned retirement after over 30 incredible years with us.

Tommy B holds a unique place in our company’s history. He was our very first employee in the state of New York, helping establish a presence that has grown to represent 20% of our total company sales today.

That growth didn’t happen by accident. Tommy B built lasting customer relationships through hard work, consistency, industry knowledge, and a genuine commitment to taking care of people. The impact of those relationships will continue to be felt for years to come.

Even after decades in the business, Tom never stopped adapting. When outside sales changed dramatically following the pandemic, Tom made the most successful transition to the new sales model of anyone on our staff — a testament to his professionalism, determination, and willingness to evolve.

Tommy B, thank you for taking a chance on Collins 32 years ago. Thank you for helping build our New York business from the ground up, for representing our company so well, and for everything you’ve contributed along the way.

You helped build something that will last.

From all of us at The Collins Companies, congratulations on an extraordinary career and a very well-deserved retirement.

Happy Retirement, Tommy B!

You're cutting that valve out one more time either way. Make it the last time with the Conval Camseal.

Cold-cut. Bevel. Preheat. Weld. PWHT. Hardness check. NDE. Days of critical path — for a small-bore drain.

The Conval Camseal is top-entry and cartridge-style. The body stays welded in the line permanently. Renewal is a cartridge swap: about 30 minutes, one mechanic, no welder, no PWHT, no radiography.
