We had a great time welcoming students from Dunlap High School to Jtec Industries as part of the Discover Manufacturing Career Expo, hosted by Illinois Central College!

During their visit, students toured our facility, got an up-close look at our mechanical and autonomous material handling systems, and learned about our manufacturing processes. We also had the opportunity to show them how the different roles across our team come together to take a product from concept to completion.

We were especially impressed by the Dunlap students. They were respectful, engaged, and asked thoughtful questions throughout the tour. It was great to see such genuine interest in manufacturing and the career opportunities available right here in Central Illinois.

A big thank you to Illinois Central College for hosting this event and to Steve Stewart of Morton Industries LLC for his work coordinating and bringing everything together.

We're grateful to have been part of the experience and hope we helped inspire a few future manufacturing professionals!

Congratulations to Matt Oyer on 5 years with Jtec Industries! Matt is always on the go, traveling throughout the southern region and visiting customer facilities to better understand their operations, challenges, and goals. He works directly with teams to help identify the right cart systems and material handling solutions to improve their processes, increase efficiency, and keep material moving.

Because Matt spends so much of his time out in the field, he is rarely here to be recognized during our all-employee meetings, so we wanted to make sure we celebrated this milestone here! We are incredibly proud of Matt and grateful to have him on our team. We look forward to many more years!

Congratulations to Leo Flores, this month's Jtec Masters winner! Leo consistently goes above and beyond, putting in long hours over the past several months while helping the team navigate a shortage of supporting staff. He regularly logs in after hours to work through emails, keep next steps moving, and support the team during high-stress, fast-moving periods as we continue recruiting additional employees. Leo is often in early for the 3rd/1st shift crossover and still working late into the evening when needed. He is always willing to jump in, provide answers, take ownership when issues arise, and go the extra mile to find solutions when the answer is not immediately known.

His dedication, accountability, and willingness to help wherever needed are a great example of what Jtec Masters represents. This is award is well deserved, Leo!

A customer came to Jtec with a unique material handling challenge: they needed to move sensitive parts between facilities multiple times a day. They also needed to protect them from unpredictable Midwestern weather: rain, snow, wind, and changing conditions meant a standard cart would not be enough.

The solution was a fully enclosed CarryMore mother cart equipped with industrial vinyl curtains to help shield parts from exposure during transport. As part of Jtec’s mother daughter cart system, it also helps reduce forklift traffic, improve material flow, and increase throughput throughout the operation.
