INFOTRAN, as a subconsultant, is providing Consultant Construction Management and Inspection services to the MTA C&D for the rehabilitation of twelve Circuit Breaker Houses, three Substations, and three Fan Plants across New York City. This critical initiative strengthens the city’s transit infrastructure by upgrading electrical systems, improving structural elements, and enhancing ventilation plants vital to safe and reliable service.
Our team is on the ground conducting daily inspections, monitoring contractor performance, and preparing detailed progress reports to ensure all work meets contract requirements. From replacing switchgear, transformers, and batteries at substations to implementing cable sealing, conduit installations, and concrete repairs at fan plants, INFOTRAN is proud to contribute to modernizing and safeguarding New York’s transit network.

This project plays a role in upgrading power infrastructure to enhance the reliability of New York City’s transit system.
Our team is conducting daily surveillance and inspections to ensure all work—including duct bank installation, power cable termination, electrical, mechanical, and communication system upgrades. INFOTRAN, as a subconsultant, is working on the Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) installation initiative. This project is a critical step toward enhancing mobility and safety for pedestrians with visual impairments by delivering accessible and intuitive crossing information through non-visual means, such as audible tones, speech messages, and vibrating surfaces. Guided by Local Laws 21 of 2012 and 60 of 2014.
 
INFOTRAN is conducting comprehensive field surveys for selected intersections across Manhattan and Staten Island. Our team reviews baseline drawings provided by NYCDOT and verifies existing inventories.
