We are very fortunate to have Mary Lake here each year for this.
Consul is in the first picture being sheared and the second picture is Java who was on deck and waiting for his turn.

The dams have very good health history and are excellent fiber ewes. Our Merino dams have top of the line genetics from 3 preeminent Merino farms in Michigan, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.
A limited number of the anticipated lambs, both ewes and rams (can be wethers) will be available.
Both sires shown below-
Due dates are the third week of April.
Pick up dates will be in June.
We can deliver lambs for a reasonable charge.

Like much of the country, we have had some weather here these past 3 days. . Saturday and Sunday it was windy and cold enough for the sheep to stay in the barn with some heat lamps. Then, last night we had a good snow and the temperature went up enough for the ewes to go outside this morning, which they love.
While we care for our sheep and continue to follow the beautiful and at times, quiet rhythms of Mother Nature here on the farm, we also have to clearly say that we denounce the authoritarianism and the ugliness perpetrated by barbaric fascists we all see and hear about that is currently going on in the heartland. We have always seen small-scale family farming practices as an act of resistance. If ever there was a time to resist, it is now.
