It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Scott Bebenek.

Scott was so much more than a leader at IBC. He was a mentor, advocate, connector, and friend who cared deeply about our members and the independent distribution community.

From helping welcome new members to playing a central role in the development of IBC’s PIM system and the creation of the IBC Oversight Council, Scott left an enduring mark on our organization.

In recognition of his extraordinary commitment to IBC and its members, the IBC Oversight Council unanimously agreed to rename the IBC Member of the Year Award in his honor. Going forward, it will be known as the Scott Bebenek Member of the Year Award.

Scott’s legacy will live on through the people he supported, the relationships he built, and the organization he helped shape.

Our deepest sympathies are with Scott’s family and loved ones. He will be greatly missed and forever remain a part of the IBC family.
