Finished this project in December 2020 for a customer of mine Doug Mulder, this is special to me because of the time line. In high school when the Grimmesey's owned the car - we had a lot of fun ripping around Ashland, it was a fun car back then with a factory 327 engine and powerglide transmission. From the factory the car had gold interior as well as the Granada gold exterior with a off white top. The car ended up in storage for 20 plus years with some minor rust in the passenger side A pillar. I received a call six to seven years ago from Kevin Grimmesey telling me that his brother was ready to sell, I called Doug and he bought it the next day. I shared this info with Doug because I knew he would cherish this car. Kevin Barden repaired the small rust issues and painted the car, Bruce Bennett did the headliner and seats in black replacing all the gold. Along with many conversations, Doug and I came up with a solid plan for the car and here it is. Alston front chassis, Moser 12 bolt rear-end with 3.73 gears, Truetrac, with Wilwood disc brakes. New Muncie four speed transmission with a Hurst shifter, QuickTime bellhousing, 11" McLeod clutch. I built the 420 cubic inch small block chevrolet with a Dart SHP block with a long list of great internals, AFR 210 cylinder heads, custom ground hydraulic roller camshaft from Comp Cams, Isky lifters, Crower shaft rockers and the list keeps going!! I restored many of the factory parts, wiring, installed four speed tunnel, the list keeps going! As always, a big thanks to Doug Mulder for the opportunity to work on this bitchen ride! Thanks for checking it out!!
