Yesterday, 6/5, was 65 Roses Day. Years ago a young child heard the name Cystic Fibrosis and when they tried to repeat the name it came out, 65 roses. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation adopted that name. CFF chose purple as its color for awareness. The ladies in our office wore purple in support of CF awareness. Our CFO’s son was diagnosed at 15 months old with CF. When he was still a child, he became an advocate for awareness and education about living with CF. CF is a genetic disorder that is the result of the mom and dad passing a recessive gene each to their child. There has been great strides made in the treatment of CF and they’re close to finding a cure for all the different mutations.

This has been a great time in Chicago for the 2026 National Restaurant Association Show, Allied Mixer, Family Dinner, Parts Town party, and Foodservice Equipment & Supplies (FE&S) magazine Awards Gala. The best part for us is always the people and strengthening relationships while forging new ones. We had a new experience this time; a new airline is flying out of a city close to us so we gave it a try and we liked it plus it was super cheap! We will be taking advantage of Denver Air Connection flying out of the City of Jackson, TN - Government.
