LifeFlow

LifeFlow LifeFlow® is a hand-operated rapid infuser for critically ill patients who require urgent volume resuscitation.

Easy and intuitive to use, LifeFlow PLUS allows clinicians to deliver blood or fluid quickly and efficiently, improving patient care. LifeFlow was born out of the barriers that clinicians often face delivering fluids and blood quickly and simply to critically ill patients. Timely volume resuscitation is key to the effective treatment of shock, including septic shock and hemorrhagic shock, but is often not achieved due to the slow and inefficient traditional infusion techniques.

When patients are in shock, every minute to restored perfusion matters. Delays in fluid and blood delivery can mean the difference between recovery and death. Traditional methods are often too slow to set up or infuse. Almost fast isn't fast enough.

LifeFlow delivers 500mL of fluid or a unit of blood in under 2 minutes and set up takes less than a minute.

"The nation’s more than 370 prehospital blood transfusion programs have an incredible impact on outcomes for patients with severe bleeding due to traumatic injuries and other critical bleeding emergencies. The data show that early access to blood in the prehospital setting helps to improve survival outcomes, particularly for victims of transportation-related incidents where minutes matter." - Howard County Fire and Rescue Chief Medical Officer Dr. Matthew Levy

Honored that LifeFlow is part of so many of the lifesaving blood programs across the country. Excited to watch the continued growth of prehospital blood programs and the impact they’ll have in saving more lives.

Real patient case: from critical to stable in minutes.

A 50s male arrived in the ED with suspected GI bleed—pale, hypotensive, and altered mental status, with systolic BP in the 60s and HR 120. Rapid blood administration was initiated using LifeFlow via 18g PIV.

1 unit PRBC was delivered in under 3 minutes, with immediate improvement in blood pressure, mental status, and perfusion.

The patient stabilized quickly, allowing continued evaluation and definitive care.

You may think a pressure bag is fast, but is it really? Watch this head-to-head race between LifeFlow and a pressure bag.

Set up and 500mL of fluid takes LifeFlow 1 minute and 27 seconds. For the pressure bag... 3 minutes and 35 seconds.

When patients are in shock, every minute to restored perfusion matters.

Great connecting with so many of you at the First There First Care Conference!

When critical patients need rapid blood or fluid delivery, speed matters. LifeFlow can be set up in about 1 minute and deliver 500mL of fluid or 1 unit of blood in under 2 minutes. More agencies across the country are bringing LifeFlow onboard to support rapid, controlled transfusion and resuscitation in the field.

Children are not just small adults — and emergency departments must be prepared to treat them accordingly. Only 17% of U.S. EDs have high pediatric readiness, yet children are 4x more likely to die in EDs with the lowest readiness scores.

Our latest white paper explores the urgent need for pediatric readiness and how rapid intervention can save lives.

LifeFlow is proud to support pediatric readiness with rapid, controlled blood and fluid delivery designed to help providers act fast when critically ill children need it most.
