High wind warnings in effect so we decided to move the 38 Buick away from the old ash tree it was parked next to. 30 minutes later this happened.

Fixing a friend's 1949 Ford Custom. Was completely stock down to the 6 volt positive ground system. Distributor was bad and Replacements were not available. Some careful measuring and machine work and we were able to turn down the body of a Chevy distributor, shorten it, and turn the shaft to fit the Ford gear. Added a tab on the side for the hold-down clamp and recurved the advance to suit the Flathead and voila! It is still a points car with available parts.
