🔹 Melinda Fischl joins our Raleigh, NC Office as Senior Project Manager! With a deep background in stormwater management, roadway drainage, and hydraulic analysis, she excels in leading teams and driving projects to success. Her strategic planning and contract negotiation skills will be invaluable as we continue to grow.

🔹 Robert Goodwin joins our Duluth, GA as Senior Designer, bringing 30 years of experience in transportation design and construction. From GDOT bridge replacements to SPLOST-funded projects, his expertise in roadway design, construction oversight, and program management is a game-changer for our team!

Once again, we had the pleasure of partnering with and Dana Hermann's Engineering Fundamentals Class for an exciting challenge: students designed building plans based on real-world client requirements, tackling everything from water drainage to parking spaces and gas lines. 🏗️💡

The highlight of the day? Watching these young engineers pitch their innovative designs to Hurst Companies' panel of "Board of Directors" (aka our amazing judges)!

A huge THANK YOU to Dana Hermann and Chandra Brandel for making this event happen year after year. 🙌 To our incredible mentors— Decio Fernandes, Austin Fell, Erin White, Damien McCue, and JR Rackauskas—thank you for guiding and inspiring the next generation of engineers. 🌟

Special shoutout to for setting up the computers for the kids and our Columbia professionals, Jessica Schladt and Roger Grant, for sharing their expertise and helping students bring their projects to life.
