CES is honored that VDOT relied on CES to manage the construction of this high-profile project in Northern Virginia -- the largest DB project in Northern Virginia to date. We are proud of our OIA/IV team led by the "virtuoso" of construction management, Michael Pruitt. The team also included Yan Li (senior construction inspector and project records manager), Aqif Karim (senior construction inspector), and Dave Smallwood (ITS and communications expert). For the past 4 years, they have worked hard to make sure construction was compliant and met all of VDOT's goals. Hats off to our fellow inspector, Caitlin Willis, who was recognized by VDOT as the Hampton Roads District Consultant Inspector of the Year for Urban Construction! Caitlin started with CES on the Skiffs Creek Connector and quickly proved herself to be a valued asset to VDOT working on districtwide tasks on the Eastern Shore and on an urban construction project in Virginia Beach. Thanks Caitlin!

The reason Julie volunteers is tied to the movement ‘If you can see her, you can be her’. She likes to make girls aware of the possibilities that are available to them in the construction industry --- they can do anything boys can do! After the volunteers were introduced to the kids, their teacher pointed out that all the woman volunteers were in the construction and engineering fields, demonstrating that they can be those women. She enjoyed talking with the kids and seeing their creativity.
