On this episode of the local competition didn’t fix it right the first time. Customer paid for a full rebuild, used it once. It sputtered and died.

Well folks… after 8 years in business, apparently we’ve finally made it. 😂

Today I received a reminder that apparently “call or text” means “respond immediately, regardless of what you’re currently doing, or prepare for war.”

A customer sent a question by text. I was busy and forgot, I dropped the ball. Before I even had the opportunity to respond, the messages escalated from “just wondering…” to basically questioning my entire existence, my mechanical abilities, and whether I’m personally responsible for the downfall of the fire service. 😂

This is a first in 8 years of doing business.

I sincerely apologize to anyone who has ever had to wait for a response from me. I know everyone’s time is valuable, and I genuinely do my best to return calls and texts as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, when I’m covered in grease, elbow-deep in a chainsaw, working on a mower, welding something, picking up or delivering equipment, taking care of my kids, spending time with my family, or doing one of the 900 other things that come with running a small business, my phone occasionally gets bumped down the priority list.

I promise I’m not sitting in the back shop staring at your text thinking, “How can I ruin this person’s day?” 😂

I appreciate every single customer who understands that “small business” means there is, in fact, a small number of people doing all the work. (mostly just me,
(occasionally the wife and kids)

I’m a business owner, but I’m also a husband, a father, and a person. My family doesn’t get put on hold every time my phone makes a noise. Sometimes I have to put the phone down and be a dad. Sometimes I have to eat. Sometimes I might even sleep. 😂

And yes, believe it or not, I occasionally don’t answer a text immediately or I might even forget.

That doesn’t mean I don’t care about your business. It means I’m human.

That being said… if having to wait a little while for a response is enough to make you question whether you want to do business with us, we completely understand. There are plenty of other shops out there, and you’re absolutely free to use whichever one you feel is the right fit.

Well… maybe a little amusement. 😂

8 years in business and apparently THIS is the milestone we get.

To the customers who have supported me, been patient, recommended me to friends, and understood that I’m doing my best while running a business and raising a family — thank you. Seriously.
