🌴 MITSIS RODOS VILLAGE (Kiotari, South Rhodes, Greece) ⛱️

Mitsis Rodos Village, an ultra-all-inclusive 5-star hotel on the island of Rhodes, wanted to go the extra mile to create unforgettable vacations. At the time, ‌Mitsis Group, Greece’s largest privately owned hotel chain, was launching its new brand identity, with a steadfast commitment to reinventing the travel experience, offering beyond all-inclusive services, and an unwavering dedication to exceeding guest expectations.

As the chain expanded its all-inclusive offering for children’s experiences specifically, Mitsis Rodos Village collaborated with Vortex and elite areas to introduce a Splashpad® and Elevations™ multi-play structure on its premises.

This was the first Splashpad for the island of Rhodes! And with its focus on inclusivity, accessibility, and interactive fun for the whole family, Mitsis Rodos Village has positioned itself as the island’s preferred family destination.

🦒 Cet été a été riche en émotions pour le nouvel espace de jeux aquatiques Booshikë du Parc aquatique Amazoo (Zoo de Granby, Québec). Mais avant que l'eau ne soit mise en circulation en juin, il a fallu franchir de nombreuses étapes !

L'installation d'origine, datant de 1999, a été démontée pour faire place à une toute nouvelle expérience conçue autour de l'immersion, de l'accessibilité, de la découverte et de l'interaction familiale.

Washington Park, in East Chicago (Indiana), is being transformed over the next several months. When finished, an old pool will be completely revitalized with the addition of a waterslide structure. An adjacent Splashpad® and accessible Elevations™ structure will complete the retrofit.

** NEW PROJECT STORY **

🦁 AMAZOO WATER PARK / ZOO DE GRANBY (Granby, Canada) 🐘

For more than 25 years, a Vortex aquatic play area welcomed families visiting Amazoo Water Park at Zoo de Granby. As guest expectations continued to evolve, the Zoo saw an opportunity not simply to replace aging infrastructure, but to completely reimagine one of its most popular attractions.

The result is Booshikë! Inspired by the atmosphere of a tropical jungle, the revitalized attraction is organized into 3 complementary play environments to support different ages, abilities, and levels of interaction.

Two Elevations™ structures contribute 48 interactive water play activities, 11 elevated platforms, and 5 waterslides, creating one of the most ambitious aquatic play environments ever delivered in Quebec. An adjacent Splashpad covers approximately 1500 sq.m. and incorporates 65 aquatic play elements.

🌊 BAHAMA BEACH WATERPARK (Dallas, Texas) 🌊

The City of Dallas partnered with Kraftsman Commercial Playgrounds & Water Parks and Vortex to revitalize its Coconut Cove family attraction at Bahama Beach Waterpark. Supported by significant public investment, Coconut Cove was transformed into a modern, multi-level aquatic play destination. At the heart of the project is a custom Vortex Elevations structure featuring 16 interconnected decks, 55 interactive water features, and six waterslides.

The new space:

💦 serves a broad age range;

💦 encourages exploration and repeat play, allowing guests to continuously discover new routes;

💦 offers a wide variety of water play experiences;

💦 incorporates a universally accessible entry system.

What. A. Day.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in our charity golf tournament last Monday - sponsors, players, and volunteers. We were overwhelmed by your generosity and support for the La Fondation du Children - The Children's Foundation …. Thank you also to Club de Golf Atlantide for putting together an excellent brunch, dinner, and tourney. These photos give you an idea of just how amazing the day really was!

We’re still tallying the results, and we’ll share the final numbers very soon! 🤩 Again, we can’t thank you enough!!

This week, Vortex team members from Canada, the United States and Spain came together for our Sales Meeting, creating a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections, share perspectives and align around our priorities for the future.

Through strategic discussions, workshops, coaching sessions and collaborative problem-solving, teams shared ideas, challenged assumptions and explored new opportunities across markets.

What made the event particularly valuable was the chance to bring together colleagues from different regions and areas of expertise, all working toward the same goal: creating meaningful experiences through water.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their insights, energy and enthusiasm throughout the week.

The community of Elkhart (IN) recently celebrated the opening of its brand-new Splashpad in Edith Pasley Park. In addition to the aquatic play space, the renovated park also features an open-air shelter, walking paths, and a toddler play area. The lovely new space is named after a prominent Elkhart civil rights leader and community activist.
