Machine shop in Dover, Ohio looking for part-time CNC and Manual machinists to manufacture steel components in a job shop environment.

We seek skilled machinists to set up, program, and operate CNC machining centers and lathes. You will be responsible for inspection, documentation, and problem-solving as needed.

- pick tooling and workholding best suited for the components
- program CNC with aides from conversational programming, CAM, and training
- setup machine, tooling, and workholding
- operate machine to complete components
- inspect parts with precision tools (OD mics, ID mics, snap gauges, dial bore gauges, indicators, pins, blocks, go/no-go gauges, etc.)
-maintain machinery with oils, lubricants, coolants, and general cleanliness

Skills:

- experience with machining of metals
- understanding CNC machines
- ability to read blueprints, drawings, prints and follow instructions
- attention to detail in filling out documentation (times sheets, travelers, inspection procedures)
- ability to stand and lift parts/tools into machinery
following instructions

This is a full-time position that requires a dependable machinist in order to serve customers as needed. Overtime is often required and sometimes with short notice.
