Help us congratulate Matt!

Last week, Matt competed in the Skills USA, North Carolina, State competition. Competing in the 3-Axis Milling Programmer category, Matt had to navigate 3 areas of evaluation; Metrology, Theory, and CAM Programming.
After six hours of testing and evaluation, Matt placed 1st in State. This secures him a place in the National competition, in June.

It is a pleasure to welcome Matt Coleman to the DayStar family. His arrival marks a significant addition to our technical capabilities. Matt’s background as a CNC Operator and Programmer provides a strong foundation for our upcoming projects. In addition to his machining proficiency, Matt is currently broadening his skillset at Wilkes Community College by studying Welding/Fabrication.

At DayStar, Matt will focus on new and innovative projects while further developing his programming and fabrication skills. His commitment to continuous learning and hands-on excellence aligns perfectly with our mission.

**Intern Spotlight**
We are excited to spotlight Bryson Adkins, who has been part of the DayStar family since July 2025. What started as an internship fueled by a curiosity for CNC machining has turned into a career path; Bryson is currently honing his craft at Surry Community College and will graduate this May. He is looking forward to bringing his new expertise to the floor, and we couldn't be prouder to support his journey. When he isn't at the machine, you can likely find Bryson with a guitar in hand, pursuing his passion for writing and playing music.
