The basic idea behind ODIN Workstation is simple. It’s software that guides and controls the production process.

It can run on manual, semi-automated and automated production lines. At the station it shows the operator what needs to happen next and can connect those steps to tools, scanners and machines.

Once the work is complete the factory has a digital record of what happened to that part. So instead of instructions, tools and production data living in separate places, the process is managed from one digital system at the station. It takes people away from productive work, uses more time and material and puts added pressure on both production and quality teams.

The bigger problem is when the same mistake can happen again because there is nothing at the station stopping it.
