A little restoration project we recently completed at Dice Metal Works.

These antique cast iron garden furniture pieces were originally made by our customer’s grandfather many years ago and hold a great deal of sentimental value for the family. Over time, several cracks developed and a number of decorative pieces had broken away.

We carefully repaired the damaged castings, rebuilt the broken sections, and stabilized the pieces while preserving their original character. Once the repairs were complete, everything was professionally sandblasted and powder coated to provide long-term protection from the elements. The furniture was then reassembled using stainless steel hardware to help prevent future corrosion.

It’s always rewarding to help preserve a piece of family history rather than see it discarded.

This project swapped out the original wood rails for a more durable, modern look that fits the space a lot better. Powder coated by JA Powder Coating for a clean, long-lasting finish.

Just wrapped up this custom aluminum gate for a pool shower area here in the Denver/Lake Norman area.

Built with a 1”x2” aluminum tube frame, vertical slats, and heavy-duty hinges to hold up long-term in the elements. The arched top was designed to match the style of the home and soften the look against the brick.

Aluminum is a great option for outdoor projects like this—no rust, low maintenance, and it holds up well over time.

Public service announcement: never buy a 2WD 3/4-ton… unless you enjoy getting humbled by a patch of gravel. Slight exaggeration, but not by much.

Since I was already getting stuck, I figured I might as well look good doing it. Built and welded up this bumper from a MOVE kit, then had JA Powdercoating handle the primer and finish. Added a winch and about 200 lbs of steel, which may or may not improve my odds of staying unstuck. Time will tell.

Either way, it’s a lot more useful on job sites now—and a lot better looking.

Just wrapped up this set of custom aluminum handrails on a beautiful new home on Lake Norman.

All rails are fabricated from aluminum with 1/2” vertical balusters and a 2” x 1” rectangular tube top rail with radiused edges for a comfortable grip. The entire system was finished in an oiled bronze powder coat by JA Powdercoating here in Denver.

These rails were built specifically for the layout of this covered porch and lakefront view, providing safety without blocking the sightline to the water. Aluminum construction means they won’t rust and will hold up well in the lake environment.
