This week’s Stars of the Strip presented by Tub O' Towels introduces you to 29 year old Damon Gipson from Denver, IN.
When Damon was a little boy he remembers coming to the track with his dad, who raced. He would help his dad work on his race car, and remembers riding around the pits in the car with his dad.
4 years ago Damon decided he wanted to follow in his dads footsteps so he started racing. Racing is a family affair for the Gipsons. His mom Susan is the crew chief. Without her they couldn’t function. His dad is there to help with any questions Damon has regarding the car & chassis. Megan his fiancé videos his passes and updates the log book, and his adorable son, Bennett, who is 16 months old is hosting biggest fan and loves being at the track.
Damon races a 1969 Chevy Nova sponsored by Howell’s off the Clock Machine and Prototyping in the Bellman Oil Co. Top class. His accomplishments include making improvements every year. This year his goal is to make it to the team finals.
A fun fact about Damon is he has no sense of smell!
When he’s not racing Damon enjoys hunting, golfing, and hanging out with his family.

We haven't posted in a little while, but we have been busy getting things ready for TrikeFest 2023 Pictures, Discussions, and Swap Meet! Howell's OTC has been getting Honda ATC 70 front suspension kits ready. Feel free to reach out if you're interested in a kit. We are in the process of manufacturing 15 additional sets. If you have your own set of shocks but need a set of triple trees, let us know, and we can make a custom set! If you have any other request or custom parts, please let us know!
