It’s blown!!!

Ever since I did the camshaft position sensor, Pete hasn’t ran correctly.

It’s been driving my crazy 🤪

After checking everything I could, I decided to change the oil as it was slightly overfilled and looked thin.

Got a nice surprise 😮 😭

Needle bearings and a little chunk of metal. 🤦‍♂️

Could only mean one thing.

Failed lifter….. 🫣

I have been planning to put a 6.0L LQ4 in so now’s the time…

I got the whole front end completely torn down and yanked the 5.3L out 🥱

Next up is to clean up the 6.0L and throw some parts at it!

Next up was this 2006 Single cab Silverado in for a 3/6 drop.

Front was a coilover kit.

Rear was a flip kit, that needed a saddle made.

Got the front stock parts tore down and installed the new parts.

I used my plasma table to cut the pieces for the saddle.

Then used my welder to weld em up.

Pulled the bed and stock hardware holding the axle housing to the leaf springs.

Flipped the axle housing to the top of the leaf springs and bolted its all back together.

Slapped the bed on and bam!! Long bed slammed.

7 years ago…. Times have changed.
Built the chopped S10 and the blue Silverado under a carport 🤯

Gave Victor Cano a hand with some welding.

He is currently in the middle of his bodydrop.

While cycling the suspension he realized he needed to do a front kit as his factory arms wouldn’t cut it anymore.

He needed his spindles drilled and reverse reamed.

After knocking that out we went to his place for me to weld up the front kit from Nfamus Metal Fab.

This kit is pretty straightforward to install.

He had the front end cut, cleaned up before I showed up.

Tacked em up, then welded it all up.

Front is all back together! 👏 🤯

So much have to be reconfigured 😱

I should have NOT welded the bag mounts in assuming they would work 🤦‍♂️

After checking the math (numbers don’t lie) I had to cut the upper bag mounts out. 😩

Designed some upper mounts that made the bag happy when layed out. 😉

The upper bag mounts that came with the kit, was at a bad angle and only had 2” on one side of the bracket when mocked up layed out…….

Since the bag mounts were figured out, I moved onto the shocks. 🤔

The lower tabs…. anywhere on the lower control arm would hit the inside of the wheel 🛞

Made some new lower tabs and modified the lower control arms…

The upper tabs would not work as well so they got cut off..

I made some new ones with perfect fitment the allowed perfect clearance between the wheel and air bags.

Trimmed the inner tie rods to compensate for the arms being narrowed.

Got everything put together and temporally have the front bags ran to a tee until I figure out air management placement later down the build.

I need to mount the factory brake line bracket to the upper control arms.

I also need to modify the tie rod adjuster to do a alignment.
