Memorial Day has always meant something deeper to me.
As a veteran, sacrifice is not an abstract concept or just something I read about once a year. I’ve seen firsthand what service can cost — the missed moments, the weight carried quietly, the families who sacrifice alongside those in uniform, and the courage it takes to continue showing up anyway.
Today is not just about a long weekend. It’s about remembering the men and women who gave everything, and honoring the freedom we live every day because of them.
No matter where life has taken me since my military service — through business ownership, raising children, building a farm, or creating spaces for families and kids to make memories — that understanding of sacrifice, resilience, and service has never left me.
Today, I pause with gratitude and remembrance for those who never made it home, and for the families who carry that loss every day.
From my family to yours, thank you to all who have served, sacrificed, and continue to carry that legacy forward. 🇺🇸
