On May 12, 2026, the Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers (CSCE) recognized recent civil engineering achievements in Connecticut at its 19th Annual Achievement in Civil Engineering (ACE) Awards ceremony at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT. The following projects, firms, and individuals were honored:
2026 Employer of the Year: Clough Harbour and Associates, LLP
2026 ACE Award for Highway Safety Improvements was presented to KS Engineers, P.C., CTDOT and the Yonkers Contracting Company for their Auxiliary Lanes, Resurfacing, and Safety Improvements on I-95 in Stamford, CT, project.
2026 ACE Award for Innovative Design was given to CTDOT, Clough Harbour and Associates, LLP, and Mohawk Northeast, Inc. for the Emergency Rehabilitation of the Commodore Isaac Hull Bridge.
2026 ACE Award for Streetscape Improvements was presented to DeCarlo & Doll/Luchs Consulting, C.J. Fucci Construction and NVCOG for the Reconstruction of Route 34 (Main Street), Derby, CT.
2026 ACE Award for Accelerated Bridge Construction was given to Mohawk Northeast, Inc., CTDOT, McFarland Johnson, and HDR, Inc. for the Rehabilitation of Bridges 03514 + 1052991 over the Byram River.
2026 ACE Award for Rail Infrastructure was presented to HNTB, VN Engineers, GFT, Inc., and CTDOT for their Enfield Station Track Improvements Project.
2026 Young Civil Engineer of the Year was given to Michael Ciacciarella, P.E., Assistant Town Engineer with the Town of Guilford, CT
2026 Civil Engineering Educator of the Year was presented to Professor Cassandra Champagne, Ph.D., at the University of New Haven
2026 President's Award was given to Professor Song Wang, Ph.D., at the University of Hartford
