Gobble, "Gobble Lumber" became Gobble-Fite Lumber Company following the addition of the Fite brothers: Roy (1938), Jack (1939), and Jim (1941). Over the years, the company has grown into much more than just a "lumber" company, meeting the needs of a burgeoning and ever more sophisticated residential and commercial building market. Gobble-Fite has grown steadily since its beginning by providing homeowners and professional builders with quality products, excellent service and competitive pricing. Quality Products
Providing everything from the ground up for new home construction, room additions or remodeling, we are known as the "builder's choice" for products ranging from foundation materials to roofing. In addition to building materials, we offer name brand kitchen appliances, cabinets and decorator paint. We are also a provider of plumbing fixtures, power tools, fasteners, floor coverings, mailboxes, Mosquito Magnets®, and too many other items to list! Excellent Service
Homeowners and professional builders alike know that they can depend on the knowledgeable sales force at Gobble-Fite. We realize that your project, no matter how large or small, is of utmost importance to you , and we strive to do our part to make your building experience pleasant and rewarding. Located on Hwy. 20 West, just one mile downriver from the bridge (302 Wilson Street, NW), we are uniquely situated to offer quick response times for deliveries to Madison, Limestone, Lawrence and Cullman Counties and, of course, to the Decatur/Morgan county area. Also, as a locally owned and operated business, we are able to provide the customers with answers to questions or problems in a timely manner, thus insuring a good working relationship, and can provide the customer with convenient payment terms and creative financing solutions. Competitive Pricing
Many customers are pleasantly surprised to find out that Gobble-Fite's prices are not only competitive with the "big box" stores, but often times lower. Saving money on a construction project, however, requires more than just low prices. Why not let one of our qualified specialists take a look at your house plans and give you a free estimate of the materials that will be needed to build your home or addition? An accurate takeoff will help you or your builder to order only the materials that you need. If you already have a materials list, let us give you our prices (we don't even want to look at our competition's) to see if we can save you money. Quality products, excellent service and competitive pricing. You'll agree that Gobble-Fite Lumber Co., Inc. provides you with the best value for your investment.
