This homeowner was unhappy with the "shabby" look of these garage windows that faced the street in her Highland Village Neighborhood, so we made custom board and batten shutters to clean up the street view of her home.

We have had several houses this year where the homeowner got shutters in one area and then decided they wanted more somewhere else. Just added these shutters to the back of a house and added the small screen to the back porch to block mid afternoon sun from getting into the house.

A week ago this home in the Brookhaven area of North Dallas was hiding from the street with dark colors and lots of landscaping. With a new lighter color, a new front door and new shutters, the look of this home has been totally transformed.

Just East of the Fort Worth Zoo and the parts that surround it, the Forest Park neighborhood is full of older homes, some of which are being upgraded and some of which are being replaced with new homes built on classic lines. This new home features classic shutters and hardware on the front elevation to compliment the modern windows and attention to detail. Another fun fact about this install is that we had to dodge the production crews for Taylor Sheridan's "Lioness" TV show, which has used several houses in the area and the streets around the park while shooting season 3 of the show.

Half the homes being built in Dallas right now are "modern", with many of them being predominantly glass, with a bit of stucco around the glass. This slightly more traditional variation has more standard windows, with LOTS of stucco, so these wide louvered shutters are the perfect final detail to jazz up the elevation without being too much.

Another old house update in far North Dallas. This home had heavy wooden trim surrounding two windows and inset shutters on two others. We removed the trim and built out the insets in order to put the right size shutters on all of the windows. Using shutters with no mid rails and going to a light color completed the transition from a dark and plain elevation to a cleaner more modern look.
