This is quickly becoming our favorite time of the week! That's right, today we're doing another AGMA committee member highlight. We'd like to recognize Christopher Dale, VP of Engineering at Atlanta Gear Works, Inc.

Christopher contributes to multiple committees, including:

-Helical Gear Rating, starting 2005.

-Mill Gearing, starting 2005.

-Enclosed Gear Drives for Industrial Applications, starting 2011.

-Helical, Enclosed Drives High Speed Units, starting 2022.

-Nomenclature, starting 2022.

-Gear Accuracy, starting 2005 and ending 2016.

Christopher is also the Vice Chair for ANSI/AGMA 6015-A13 and ANSI/AGMA 6115-A13 Power Rating of Single and Double Helical Gearing for Rolling Mill Service (US and Metric Edition).

Starting his career as an apprentice gear cutter in 1983, Christopher has honed his craft and expanded his skill set over the last 41 years. His gear cutting chops include spur, helical, worm, bevel and spiral bevel gears, as well as general machining. In 1995, he transitioned into manufacturing and design work.

When asked about his favorite aspect of being part of AGMA and its committees, Christopher told us:

"I have worked with AGMA since coming to the USA and joining Xtek Inc. in 1998. Xtek Inc. has always been a big proponent of AGMA since its inception. They encourage their engineers to take part in numerous committees as they, and now I, have a belief that working with your peers helps engineers grow in their knowledge of the gear world. Atlanta Gear Works, Inc. has also been an AGMA member for a number of years, and Jack Conway, President of Atlanta Gear Works, Inc. and new AGMA board member, also sees the benefits in shared knowledge. Being able to spend time and have conversations with industry experts is invaluable. The gear industry is a fairly small community, and friendships are made."

Thank you, Christopher, for all that you've done to help the gear industry!
