What’s the Tallest Tree in the World?
While doing research for my adventure novel, Kingdom in the Redwoods, I came across some astounding facts. A gargantuan redwood dubbed Hyperion is the tallest tree in the world, stretching 380 feet into the sky; the equivalent of a 38-story high-rise. More than the length of a football field. Hyperion sits majestically in Redwood National Park in Northern California. It’s estimated to be 600 to 800 years old. A mere sapling when the Magna Carta was signed in 1215AD. America was not even a glint in time’s eye when Hyperion first appeared in the world. Want more fun in the redwoods?

Just saw The Shift and it’s another great movie from Angel Studios. Sci Fi fans will love the story and its fascinating take on the multi-verse theory. But it’s also a love story that takes you to your deepest emotions of love and loss. The cast is sensational across the board and the production quality is top rate. Neal McDonough is absolutely riveting in his role, and it’s worth seeing The Shift just to watch his brilliance. Chosen fans will love Elizabeth Tabish (Mary in Chosen) and Paras Patel (Matthew) in their roles. Sean Astin adds his clever talents to the cast and Kristoffer Polaha makes you feel like you’re on the nail biting journey with him. Great film for this holiday season for the whole family. www.angel.com
