As we near the halfway point of our first year of “CK Truck Magazine 2.0,” we figured this would be a great time to give you guys an update on how things are going.

For those of you who may be new to CK Truck Magazine, our publication changed ownership on January 1, 2026. As one of the original founders, I (Scott Mason) have been with the magazine since its inception in 2020. With the help of Patrick Gibellina of Mr. G’s Classics, we acquired the CK Truck Magazine brand and began to invest in its future growth and success under our new parent company, Short Bed LLC.

Looking back at everything we’ve accomplished over the past six months to get this business back into shape is truly wild. We've been busy re-establishing relationships with our incredible advertisers, adding hyper-talented staffers to our already amazing roster of contributors (and making sure everyone gets paid on time!), keeping our publishing schedule on track, getting magazines into subscribers’ mailboxes on time, expanding our newsstand presence, and so much more.

Our hard work seems to be paying off. Newsstand sales are through the roof, new subscriptions and renewals are trending at an all-time high, new advertisers are coming on board, and we’re seeing renewed interest from companies that support and have a presence in the C10 community.

After taking a break from travel last year, we’re back out on the road hitting shows around the country. Having our feet on the ground within the truck community is incredibly important to our team. Over the past six-plus years, we’ve had the good fortune to meet some of the best people in the automotive world, build countless lifelong friendships, and travel to breathtaking destinations. While our schedule doesn’t allow us to attend every event in the truck world, our staff of contributing photographers is out there capturing the action for us when our home office team can't.

At every event we’ve attended in 2026, you guys have welcomed us with smiles, handshakes, hugs, and words of encouragement. Without you, there would be no CK Truck Magazine. We truly hold this community in the highest regard, and we love capturing these moments in time.

Rest assured, our entire team is at full freakin' throttle and we are aiming for the stars.

Thank you!
