As a farmer, the work never really ends, it just shifts gears. Now’s the time to get your CLAAS ready for next season with these five key checks:​

1️⃣ Powertrain ​
Inspect coolant and antifreeze levels and condition.​

2️⃣ Crop-Engaging Wear Items​
Inspect cutter bars, knives, guards, and sickle sections for wear, damage or missing parts.​

3️⃣ Oil, Grease Points and Lubrication​
Grease all zerks and fittings — bearings, pivots, chains and feeder-house joints.​

4️⃣ Cleaning ​
Clean radiator and cooling system fins from chaff and dust accumulation.​

5️⃣ General Winterization​
Seal openings and install rodent-proof barriers to protect wiring and components.​
