Hicks Tufting Machine Services is a family-owned and operated business established in 1987. We build and rebuild tufting machines as well as make our own parts in our machine shop. We are looking for an electrician to join our team. The position will be from Monday to Friday from 7:00AM to 3:00PM.
Job Description:
The electrician will work closely with the machine assembly personnel and other electricians to wire Tufting Machine equipment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, moving equipment and installing equipment. Electrician must have knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Hicks Tufting; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
The Position:
•The shift starting time is 7:00AM
•The shift ending time will vary depending on business
•Will be paid an hourly rate
•Pay based on experience
•Full-time work schedule consists of 5 consecutive 8+ hour days per week
•You will work as a team with the machine assembly personnel and other electricians
•Laid-back work environment which requires initiative-taking employees that can stay on task and work well with others
•Must participate in safe electrical practices and plant safety programs
•Must be able to lift 50lbs
•Must execute assigned tasks and duties with focus on: Safe work practices
•Will provide feedback on job assignment needs and improvement opportunities with peers and leadership
•Troubleshoot and execute repairs of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime/productivity opportunities
•Basic knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and AC drives is considered a plus
•Knowledge of Tufting Machine Electrical Controls is considered a plus
Minimum Requirements:
•Must have a reliable form of transportation
•Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
•Must have the ability to disconnect production equipment, label wiring and reinstall equipment at another facility
•Must possess good verbal skills and effectively communicate with customers and other contractors
•Must be able to size wire and conduit for an application and install

Experience (Must meet one of the following criteria):
•2- year electrical degree
•Electrical certification
•2-year industrial electrical experience
