"Buddy" Cobble, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Shortly after the company was formed, it was relocated to Dalton and operated at a Gordon Street location for several years before moving to a newly constructed build

ing at the York Street site the firm still occupies. After several expansions through the years, B & J now occupies approximately 60,000 square feet of space at 122 York Street. B & J has invested heavily in new equipment and technology over the years and has one of the best equipped machinery facilities in the area. CNC equipment is utilized in most areas of the manufacturing process, starting from the design of the parts through their completion. Many of the machines now built by B & J also use computers to control their operation. The Dalton firm has been a leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of many types of equipment for the textile and other industries. Among B & J's products are full sized Warpers and the patented "Mini Beam Tufting System", for the tufting industry, hand operated and automatic bevelers for the production of samples, as well as 3 inch to 72 inch shearing machines. Over the years the company has also expanded into carpet wrapping systems, machinery for the processing of carpet tiles, food-processing machinery, paint rollers and mop manufacturing machinery and concrete grinding equipment. B & J products are used worldwide in such markets as the U.S., Canada, China, Israel, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Chile, Peru, Saudi Arabia and Argentina.

Doing a little R&D on a potentially faster and more efficient rotary cutter for our carpet and tile beveling head. Our goal is to allow faster travel of goods across the beveling unit without loss of quality. Just a small batch to be heat treated and final grind before customer trials.
