UPDATE | MAN KILLED AFTER BASS BOAT STRIKES BREAKWATER ON ALLATOONA LAKE |

A 63-year-old man was killed after a boating crash Friday night on Allatoona Lake, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources - Georgia DNR.

DNR said Game Wardens responded around 9:24 p.m. to Allatoona Landing after receiving reports that a bass boat had struck a breakwater.

When wardens arrived, they located the vessel along the breakwater and found the operator dead.

With assistance from the Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services, crews brought the man to shore, where he was turned over to the coroner.

The sheriff’s office confirmed the man was the only person on board.

The victim was identified as Patrick Ramsey, 63, of Dallas, Georgia.
