Our landscape architecture team is busy! Check out some of their recent work.
The city of Van Alstyne had its first annual event at its new downtown park, Van Alstyne Central Social District Park. The landscape architecture team provided hard and softscape services, including pedestrian surfaces, planting, and irrigation. Hardscape elements included an outdoor amphitheater, splash pad, cantilevered trellis, building structures, custom swings, enhanced paving, and multiple site furnishings. The completed park has revived the historic downtown and spurred further work for the team to provide improvements to the city’s downtown street infrastructure, mobility and accessibility, and overall aesthetics.
The landscape architecture team also supported the Parkland Hospital Moody Center for Breast Health. The project was recently awarded a Texas ASLA Merit Award. The new state-of-the-art six-story, 480,000 square foot facility is the latest Parkland Hospital main campus building. This latest campus project provides medical, surgical, and therapeutic services to the public while also delivering an accessible human patient journey for all their medical needs. The landscape architecture team provided hard and softscape services, including pedestrian surfaces, planting, and irrigation.
The team’s future work on the Z-Plex, Texas Sports Village in Melissa, TX, was also recently presented at the Future of Fields Spring Seminar. The design team developed the programming and design for the 100-acre sports facility. The anchor of the sports facility is a community center located in the heart of the facility. At complete build-out, facilities will include four baseball fields, one softball field, two natural grass soccer fields, nine artificial soccer fields, eighteen tennis courts, and various other facilities.
